San Antonio Beekeeping Supplies

As San Antonio’s population continues to grow beyond 1.5 million so too does the demand for beekeeping. And Mountain Sweet Honey Company is more than happy to keep up with the growing demand by supplying packaged bees for sale and a full line of high-quality beekeeping supplies to beekeepers in the thriving city.

Having been founded during the Spanish Colonial Era, San Antonio has a picturesque San Fernando Cathedral in its center, surrounded by a plaza as characteristic of Spanish-founded cities and villages in Spain and Latin America. So deeply rooted in Spanish history, San Antonio boasts five 18th-century Spanish frontier missions, such as the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015. After a day of touring the city, you don’t want to miss a chance to watch the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs do what they do best. But if basketball is not your thing, the city hosts the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, which is one of the largest such events in the entire country.

We are committed to supplying San Antonio beekeepers with superior honey bees and quality beekeeping supplies. Our apiaries are in the beautiful northeast Georgia mountains, and we ship bees on a weekly schedule from mid-March to May. Whether you’re an experienced beekeeper or just starting out, we have all the beekeeping supplies you need.

FAQ

No, you do not need a license to keep bees in Texas. State law allows qualified landowners to house bees on their property under a Texas Tax Code amendment but it carries strict guidelines that must be followed.

Beekeeping is regulated both at the state and local levels. The state agency tasked with regulating bees is the Texas Apiary Inspection Service (TAIS). In addition to state law, you will also need to consult your local laws to determine whether or not you can have bees on your property.
