Kentucky Beekeeping Supplies

Mountain Sweet Honey Company proudly supports Kentucky beekeepers by providing them with top-quality packaged bees and premiere beekeeping supplies. Beekeeping is thriving across Kentucky, which is known for its national parks and natural landmarks such as Mammoth Cave National Park and the Red River Gorge Gladie Visitor Center.

According to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, there are approximately 2,500 beekeepers in Kentucky and those beekeepers are mainly backyard beekeepers who have about 10 hives each. In 2016, Kentucky beekeepers with five or more hives and their 5,000 colonies produced 230,000 pounds of honey.

We are committed to providing Kentucky beekeepers with quality bees and beekeeping supplies. We have industry-leading customer service representatives who are available to answer any questions and we ship packaged bees on a weekly schedule from mid-March to May. Beekeepers with 300 or further hives are considered marketable beekeepers, and their beekeeping businesses can be veritably profitable. Numerous marketable beekeepers resettle their colonies to give pollination services to growers while contemporaneously furnishing their notions with abundant quencher sources for honey production.
