When do we see drones in the hive?

When are Drones bees seen in the bee hive? Ray is asked about drones being in the hive in September.  Drones are important part of the colony of honey bees.  Drones become present when the first pollen begins to come into the hive.  The drones only mission in their life is to mate with a new queen bee.  After mating, the drone dies.  The queen bee also decides when drones are no longer needed within the hive.  This normally will happen around July or August.  When the colony of honey bees enters into Fall and Winter, no drones can be found within the honey bee colony.
