Mountain Sweet Honey Company quality assures each sale made to our customers. We also try to hold costs down on our products to ensure good pricing to all of our customers.
Each nuc or package is reviewed for the health of the queen, brood production, honey, and population. Due to many factors, out of the control of Mountain Sweet Honey Company, the honey bees are sold “as is”. In the event you pickup your bee package or honey order, you agree the quality of the bees is acceptable, all sales are final once you leave the store premises, with no refunds allowed.
Weather can cause delays in shipments. When delays happen, we will contact you with your new pick-up date or shipping date. The customer understands delays can and will happen due to weather conditions. We will work diligently to reschedule your order when weather conditions require a delay.
All bee and queen shipment orders are F.O.B.. Your bee shipment is insured with the USPS or UPS and is included in the shipping cost . If there is a bee loss within the package that is 1.5 inches (spread evenly at the bottom of the cage) or greater, the USPS or UPS will consider your insurance claim. It is the responsibility of the customer to file a claim immediately with the USPS or UPS. Please save your Postage confirmation and postage meter sticker to assist the Postmaster with filing a claim. USPS or UPS claims must be filed online. The customer should take pictures of the loss, to help substantiate the claim with the USPS. Additionally, the USPS should scan the package as “damaged in shipment”. We cannot certify or process a claim because we were not there to personally inspect the bee shipment. Should you have another third party delivery, the customer must seek reimbursement from that source of that delivery.
Our bee shipment schedule for each season is normally “Sold Out” months in advance. We ask that you carefully consider late winter storms for your area before choosing a ship date. Local weather forecasts can be found in the Farmer Almanac. We normally are 100% sold out for the season which leaves little to no availability to move your bee shipment. Bee shipment change orders requested within two weeks of the ship date will not be changed.
By placing your order, online or by phone, you certify that the name and address is correct. Any errors typed in the order are the responsibility of the customer. Mountain Sweet Honey will not be liable for typos in the online ordering process. Any errors must be reported within 48 hours to ensure your bees reach their proper destination. Should you as a customer request a shipment change date, we will try to honor your request, if there is product availability. The change of shipping date or pick up date is at the discretion of Mountain Sweet Honey Company. In the event, a change request is approved and processed, on or after February 1, 2019, a $35.00 fee will be charged at the time of the change.
You will be emailed a shipping tracking number the day the shipment has been made. We recommend that you call your local Postmaster so they can call you upon the arrival of the bees. Failure to make this call, could delay the delivery of your bees. Because bees are bees, some USPS employees are frightened to get close to these packages and thus the bee packages are not scanned while enroute to your address.
Bee refunds will not be issued after February 1, 2019. After February 1, 2019, all bee order sales become final.
The weight of each package is approx. 3 lbs. Mountain Sweet Honey Company strives to ensure each package is 3 lbs. but can be over weight or under weight due to many factors.
For customers that purchase beekeeping equipment, we allow a 30 day return privilege from the actual delivery date, so long as the beekeeping equipment has not been worn, soiled, nailed, painted, used, or damaged. A 100% invoice refund will be issued within 5 business days after returned. The customer is responsible in returning the product with a copy of the original sales receipt you received when the product was ordered. This will allow us to credit your account correctly.
Each party agrees with these terms and conditions of sale. If the customer does not agree with the terms and conditions, the party must notify the other party 48 hours of the order date.
In the event a order is placed and is requesting the shipment to go to a secondary address, the customer hereby agrees that the credit card charge is valid and non-refundable.
For credit card purchases, you agree that you are 18 years or older, you also agree that you are authorized to use this credit card, and you agree to the charges contained in the invoice which includes shipping and handling charges. In the event, you do not agree with these charges, you must notify Mountain Sweet Honey 48 hours of the date of order.
Customer agrees to these terms and conditions as a condition of placing this order.
